■ FLAVOR COMMENT
You will experience a colorful array of aromas, ranging from the delicately expansive scent of white flowers reminiscent of jasmine to hints of violet. The flavor profile is characterized by a complex interplay that evolves with temperature, featuring notes of muscat, lemon syrup, nectarine, and blackberry, followed by a remarkably long finish with a yogurt-like lactic sweetness and a mineral quality reminiscent of raw cane sugar. A silky mouthfeel gives the entire cup a cleaner sensation.
The juiciness typical of Kenyan varieties is evident in the liquid, with notes of tartaric and lactic acidity. Having relocated to the Andes mountains in South America, this lot fully embodies the reasons why it is referred to by locals as "Inka Gesha." We invite you to experience a cup that captures the energy of the earth, delivered from the uncharted, mystical Incahuasi district of Peru.

■ INFORMATION
This farm is located at the foot of the majestic Mount Choquesafra in the Incahuasi district, benefiting from mineral-rich volcanic soil and an abundance of organic matter. From the farm, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the snow-capped Mount Choquesafra and the spectacular mountain ranges surrounding the district. The area is also home to wild birds and native tree species.
The farm's altitude, unmatched by any other coffee-producing region in Peru, makes this coffee truly unique. Vegetation within the farm provides shade for the coffee trees, helping to retain moisture and organic matter in the soil through the canopy.
The Basul farm, owned by producer Mr. Profeta, is located in the Incahuasi district of La Convención Province. Nestled in the Andes, the farm sits at an altitude of 2,280 meters, where the rich volcanic soil and harsh environment provide one of the best conditions for producing beautiful coffee flavors.
While this lot is known locally as "Inka Gesha," a 2022 study by World Coffee Research revealed that its genetic profile includes Kenya’s SL-9 variety.
SL-9, which is no longer grown in modern-day Kenya, has found a new home across the sea in the Andean climate. Through the traditional *Ayni* (mutual aid) and *Minka* (communal labor) practices dating back to the Inca Empire, you can experience a quality so exquisite that the locals refer to it as "Geisha."
