SHIKISHIMA COFFEE COUNTER

SHIKISHIMA COFFEE COUNTER
"Time to be close to your everyday life."

Located in Furuichi-cho, Maebashi City, just a short walk from Shin-Maebashi Station.
Located next to the Jomo Shimbun newspaper office, this glass-fronted building features a community-oriented space and a cafe counter on the first floor. The store's mission is to revitalize community interaction and contribute to creating a lively atmosphere.

From tap coffee brewed in 15 seconds, to carefully prepared lattes, daily changing pastries, and light meals, our goal is to create a place where people from various professions and local residents can gather, transcending boundaries, all through the shared love of coffee. Our concept is "a modern coffee house." SHIKISHIMA COFFEE COUNTER - Coffee used to be a social gathering place -

In 17th-century England, there was a culture known as the "coffee house." Coffee houses began to gain value as places where people from all walks of life, regardless of occupation or social class, gathered, and can be considered a hub for what we would now call open innovation. The reason coffee houses are important in world history is that they gave rise to new businesses, industries, and systems that continue to exist today, such as journalism, newspapers, advertising, insurance, and postal services.

Just as innovation has taken place in coffee houses as places where diverse people gather, we hope that our store, in this facility and learning and exchange space—a new initiative by Jomo Shimbun Co., Ltd.—can become a place like a "modern coffee house," where people from various professions, companies, and local communities can gather across boundaries, and that we can contribute to fostering vibrancy in the local area.

We are a coffee roaster that lives in harmony with the local community. JOMO Square ○ What is JOMO Square?

This office building is part of the "Maebashi City Furuichi-cho 1-chome District Excellent Building Development Project," a redevelopment project undertaken by the "Jomo Shimbun" newspaper company. It also includes "Open Residencia Shin-Maebashi" and "JOMO Square Park." The name refers to the entire complex consisting of three facilities: an office building, a residential building, and a parking building. The first floor is open to the public, and the facility aims to "effectively utilize the facilities to revitalize community interaction and become a face of creating vibrancy."
