Finca El Porvenir is a coffee farm located in the San Fernando district of Nueva Segovia, northern Nicaragua, right along the border with Honduras.

"El Porvenir" means "the future" in Spanish. There is even a sign at the farm's entrance with the word "Mirai" (future) written in Japanese, reflecting the strength of the sentiment behind the name. Sergio, the producer, is also a highly skilled Q-Grader. He utilizes advanced coffee production methods, incorporating scientific soil analysis and unique, sophisticated fermentation and processing techniques. He is a truly remarkable producer with a track record of success in the Cup of Excellence (COE).

The Java variety introduced here originates from indigenous Ethiopian heirlooms. It is an ancient Arabica variety that spread globally from the island of Java, Indonesia, in the 18th century, and has been gaining significant attention in recent years. It is characterized by its long, slender beans, often referred to as "long berry" shape.

This lot is a honey-processed coffee that has undergone 24 hours of anaerobic fermentation in the cherry and 24 hours of aerobic fermentation in the parchment.
