SHIKISHIMA COFFEE STAND
Founded in 2022 in Chiyoda-cho, Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, with the theme of "Bringing smiles to everyday life." This shop is located within the renovated Maebashi branch of Shinonome Shinkin Bank, the new headquarters of FM GUNMA, a public square called "Tsudoniwa" open to the public, a library, and a co-working space. 
Students and other citizens visit the library every day. The credit union is a cornerstone of the community's daily life, and we see great significance in having a coffee stand where people can meet in that location. Furthermore, this space is designated as a pathway extending outward from the central business district of Maebashi as part of the "Maebashi Urban Design" project. 
Currently, Maebashi City is challenging itself with a new form of regional revitalization under the slogan "Mebuku." An art hotel called "SHIROIYA HOTEL" has opened in the city center, an art museum called Arts Maebashi has opened, and prestigious galleries have moved into Maebashi Galleria. A local currency called Mebuku PAY has also been launched. The shuttered shopping street is trying to create a big wave from a small ripple with the help of many people.
We believe that by connecting government, financial institutions, urban development organizations, and the media, we are playing a part in fostering local communities through our coffee stand. We believe that the rich flavor of specialty coffee enriches people's spirits, and that the coffee scene can connect people, culture, and local communities. We will continue to promote our activities as a team.
