It refers to a way of engaging with others with a calm mind, unattached and unmoved by emotion, much like flowing water.
We have borrowed this word as the theme for this event.

Creating a space where people can naturally enjoy specialty coffee and engage in conversation.
And the unique interplay of individuality woven by those who share the common goal of spreading that enjoyment.
We hope you will enjoy both aspects of this event.

The "Tanko kondo coffee stand" event marks its third iteration in 2026.
This time, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Kondo, owner of "kondo coffee stand" in Niiza, Saitama Prefecture, and one of the top siphonists, to Shikishima for this event.

Since winning the JSC in 2022, Mr. Kondo has been one of the most proactive siphonists in promoting the potential and charm of the siphon.
Standing on the final stage of the JSC 2025 alongside Mr. Kondo, whom I deeply respect, and witnessing his craft up close last year, was an irreplaceable experience.

This year, we have prepared two original blends: "Tanko | Ippin" and "Tanko | Kahin."
By combining Shikishima’s roasts with roasts by our guest siphonist, Mr. Kondo, we are offering these exclusive, one-day-only blends.
