ETHIOPIA | Gesha Village Oma Lot52
■ FLAVOR COMMENT
It begins with a seductive aroma like lavender, followed by a refreshing, sparkling fragrance like that of champagne, giving it an elegant flavor.
It begins with a seductive aroma like lavender, followed by a refreshing, sparkling fragrance like that of champagne, giving it an elegant flavor.
It has a thick texture reminiscent of white peach and a bright flavor of Shine Muscat and lemon. It has the elegance befitting a rare batch, and is consistently very clean and sweet, with a high level of quality. The length of the finish is also excellent, and the complex flavor is unique to this coffee.
Please enjoy this top-quality Geisha coffee.

■ INFORMATION
Rahel and Adam returned to Ethiopia to find the right land to launch their coffee venture, Gesha. For months, they searched tirelessly for the perfect spot: high altitude, abundant rainfall, and a warm climate—all natural elements essential for producing superior quality coffee.
They finally found it in BenchMaji. The pristine landscape offered them a unique opportunity to build their dream coffee farm from scratch, but it was unlike any other: extremely close to the Gori Geisha Forest, the birthplace of the Panama Geisha variety, discovered in the 1930s.
They immediately got to work, harvesting seeds of wild Gesha varieties from the Gori Gesha Forest. With this precious stock in hand, they worked tirelessly over the years to transform the remote land into a working coffee farm capable of producing the finest Gesha coffee in the world.
The Gesha Village farm is divided into eight blocks based on microclimate and variety.
Since 2011, Gesha Village Coffee Estate, a 471-hectare coffee plantation, has been transforming this remote land into a dream coffee farm, cultivating the world's finest Gesha coffee, just a few kilometers from the birthplace of the variety in Ethiopia's Gori Gesha Forest.
Gesha Village's goal is to be the most environmentally responsible farm producing the finest coffee in Ethiopia, with an uncompromising commitment to quality at every stage of cultivation and processing, and the utmost dedication to our employees and customers.
▪️About refining
The coffee cherries are floated on water and any lighter cherries that float are removed. The intact cherries are then laid in a thin layer and sun-dried on African beds. Parabolic plastic covers are used at night to increase airflow to the coffee. The total drying time is 18 to 30 days.

At Gesha Village, we are always striving for uncompromising quality at every stage of cultivation and processing. Our non-auction lots are very floral and fruity (a characteristic element of all Gesha Village coffees) and are available through several channels and labels.
At the Coffee Lab in Addis Ababa, coffees offered in non-auction lots are carefully selected through a rigorous cupping process. Following official Specialty Coffee Association protocols, several cupping lots are evaluated to determine how they are offered to buyers. Offered under a variety of labels, from very high-end, delicious rarities to delicately blended Chakas, Gesha Village Coffee Estate offers a diverse selection of coffees with complex flavors.
