■ INFORMATION

Rachel and Adam returned to Ethiopia to find the perfect location to launch their coffee venture, Gesha. For months, they relentlessly searched for the ideal spot: high altitude, abundant rainfall, a warm climate, and all the natural factors essential for producing superior quality coffee.

And then they finally found Benchmag. The untouched landscape presented them with a unique opportunity to build their dream coffee plantation from scratch, but it was unlike anything else. It was very close to the Gorigesha Forest, the birthplace of the Panama Geisha variety, which was discovered in the 1930s.
They immediately got to work, harvesting wild Gesha variety seeds from the Gori Gesha Forest. With this precious stock in hand, they dedicated tireless effort and years to transforming the remote land into a practical coffee farm capable of producing the world's finest Gesha coffee.
The farms in Gesha Village are divided into eight blocks based on microclimate and crop variety.
Since 2011, Gesha Village Coffee Estate, with its approximately 471 hectares of coffee plantation, has transformed this remote land into a dream coffee farm, cultivating the world's finest Gesha coffee just a few kilometers from the birthplace of the Ethiopian Gori Gesha Forest variety.

Gesha Village is committed to pursuing quality at every stage of cultivation and processing, demonstrating the utmost dedication to its employees and customers, and aims to become the most environmentally conscious farm producing the finest coffee in Ethiopia.

▪️Regarding purification
The coffee cherries are floated in water, and the lighter ones that float are removed. The undamaged cherries are left in thin layers and sun-dried on African beds. A parabolic plastic cover is used at night to increase airflow to the coffee. The total drying time is 18 to 30 days.
