■ INFORMATION

Inacio Urban is a producer based in the Cerrado Mineiro region. Born into a farming family in Rio Grande do Sul, he grew up surrounded by agricultural work, where he naturally acquired values of hard work, discipline, and patience. In 1976, believing in the potential of new agricultural areas, he moved to Minas Gerais in search of further growth. At the time, the Cerrado region was considered difficult land for agriculture, but for him, it represented a great opportunity to build a solid long-term foundation.

Purchased by Inacio Urban in 1984, Rio Brilhante (Bright River) is one of Brazil's largest farms specializing in coffee production, spanning over 1600 hectares. Coffee production focuses on superior cultivation methods. Soil and coffee tree leaf analyses are performed quarterly, with necessary adjustments made to ensure peak production. Trees are pruned regularly to increase yields, and new, disease-resistant varieties are introduced to the farm. The farm also supports various social programs in the region.
This lot is a blend of Catuai 144, Catuai 99, and Catucai 20/15 varieties, carefully selected to achieve balance, sweetness, and consistency in the cup. This lot was mechanically harvested, with fully ripe cherries carefully selected to ensure higher uniformity and raw material quality.

After harvest, the cherries passed through sorting channels to remove floaters and impurities, increasing the homogeneity of the lot. After washing and sorting, they were moved directly to concrete patios to begin the drying process. On the first day of drying, they were spread thinly to quickly reduce surface moisture, then arranged in thick rows and turned frequently to ensure uniform drying until reaching the ideal moisture content of 12%. This traditional process preserves the natural character inherent in the blend, resulting in a cup that is clean, full-bodied, and well-balanced.
