Known as a sky farm situated at an altitude of over 2,000m, AGROTAKESI Farm offers panoramic views of Bolivia's iconic 5,850m Murlata Mountain. In the local language, "Takesi" means "to awaken people," and the farm was named after the small path leading from Murlata Mountain to the Takesi Valley.
It is sometimes said that the beautiful flavors of specialty coffee are nurtured by the slow growth brought about by the temperature difference between day and night. The harsh climate of this farm is unparalleled, and it is known that the coffee takes 11 months to grow, 1.4 times longer than usual. High quality is ensured by harvesting only fully ripened red coffee cherries and processing them in small batches.
Although it is an environment where cultivation itself is normally difficult, the stones in the soil of the farm store the sunlight during the day as thermal energy, protecting the coffee trees from the harsh cold of the mornings and evenings, and allowing us to enjoy a beautiful flavor reminiscent of jasmine perfume.
